Our Dancers

The Virginia Dance Company is home to some of the most talented and well-trained dancers on Grounds. With diverse backgrounds in training, each dancer brings something different to the company and becomes a part of our family. Auditions are held at the beginning of each semester, and once chosen for the company, you are a member for your entire time at UVA – we do not re-audition our dancers.

Our dancers are involved in many other organizations outside the company, from greek life to academic clubs to religious organizations and even to other dance groups, but are expected to commit to all rehearsals and performances. In addition to dancing, we have social events with the company and with other groups at UVA, and we love spending time together outside of weekly rehearsals.
